Get Everything You Want Online

August 21st, 2011Posted by admin

The internet is a virtual world of information, products and services for sale. For some that realized its potential early on the streets seemed to be paved with gold. All you have to do is look at the online sales that are transacted each and every day around the world. As consumers we want a few things to be right. We want fair affordable prices, convenience and good service. We’ve had to tighten our belts lately but we still expect those three things when we shop for good and services. That’s why many of us have turned from the traditional retail marketplace to the internet for our online shopping. Online stores give us everything we want. We can shop there anytime we want to; we can find deals from around the world and we get excellent service.

This multi-channel industry depends on technology for its survival. Technology breathes new life into the industry on a regular basis. Each year the technological advances are felt across the industry and the sales numbers increase in double digits over the previous year. Whether you want to buy a scarf from India a used book or even attend an online auction, it’s all done right there in front of you and you never have to leave your chair.

As countries around the world embrace this technology the online retail business continue to post record breaking sales numbers. Some countries and regions are faster to embrace the technology; some because the information highway as we sometimes call the internet is not available to them yet or merely because there are hold outs who don’t quite trust the technology enough. Those who don’t trust the technology eventually jump on the wagon with the rest of us and those who are patiently waiting to be given access are potential customers of people halfway around the world who they have never met.

We now have virtual dressing rooms where you can actually see how clothes will fit you. You can buy Ford Parts or you can buy Nissan Parts, all with just a few mouse clicks. We are talking about billions of dollars in transactions every quarter in every part of the world. There is one company in China that sells 53,000 items every minute of the day. All this is done with a few clicks of the mouse and most are done flawlessly. That is nothing short of mind bending.

m-Commerce has now entered the limelight. If you own mobile device like a Smartphone or I-phone you have probably have been part of the m-Commerce generation. If you haven’t you probably will be very soon. On a mobile device you can receive coupons, digital airplane tickets or event tickets and you can browse the web while you are chatting with a friend on Facebook. That is just the tip of the iceberg for mobile devices because we are going be amazed by their capabilities in the next few years. Climb aboard for the ride of your life.
